Soon there will be a new Lebanese restaurant debuting on West Broad Street.  The sign and the facade have already been changed at 4401 West Broad Street, formerly La Casita Mexican Restaurant

"The Phoenician" will be opening soon, per the banner on the front of the building.

Don’t worry, the well-loved, Northside La Casita at 5204 Brook Road isn’t going anywhere…

6 Thoughts on “New Lebanese restaurant coming soon!”

  • I work down the street from the old La Casita on Broad. I’ll miss their red/white/green salsa trio, but I love mjadra, ful mudamas, and tahini sauce even more.
I think it goes without saying that any middle eastern food is better than mediocre mexican.

  • I was so excited to see the “coming soon” sign this morning! I love Lebanese food the most of all Middle Eastern foods. Since moving to Richmond from Alexandria, I’ve really missed The Pita House!

  • mmh: Another place to try, since you like Lebanese food, is Grapeleaf at the Village Shopping Center, at the corner of Three Chopt Rd and Patterson Ave.
Oh, and watch for the Lebanese Food Festival in May! The festival is held each year at St. Anthony’s Maronite Church in Glen Allen. The website still has the 2007 info on it, but it should give you a feel for what to expect: http://www.stanthonymaronitechurch.org/festival/index.htm

  • I went on the opening night and it was amazing!! The food was delicious. By far the best lebanese in Richmond and the atmosphere is something you have to experience to understand. This is one new restaurant that is really worth checking out.
